On April 20, National Centre for Vocational Education and Training Development of National Institute of Education of MoES had organized presentation of VET manuals published in 2011. Authors of the manuals, representatives of Ministries of Education and Science, Labor and Social Affairs, Economy, attended the presentation, as well as representatives of social partners, international organizations that are involved in VET sector, VET institutions.
Director of NCVETD Tatevik Gasparyan hosted the presentation.

On April 12, French-Armenian Professional Education Center Fund hosted a group of education officers, diplomats, fans of the Francophone. The event was carried out in support of "KASA" Swiss Humanitarian Foundation and was called "Francophone Tints and Flavoring Pleasure without Borders".

On April 5, a beauty salon was opened in Yerevan Regional College No. 2, where the students can acquire skills of hairdressing, manicure and makeup. The honor of cutting the red ribbon was given to Director of NCVETD Tatevik Gasparyan and Head of Vocational Education and Training Division of Department of Primary and Middle Vocational Education of MoES Karen Vardanyan. Chair of the Governing Board of the College Karlen Hayrapetyan and Director of "Nor Nork" Territorial Employment Centre Manvel Khachatryan also attended the event. The salon was opened in the framework of EU budget support second program.

Today Jean Pugin, the education system consultant of GREF "Teachers without Borders" French organization was the guest in the National Centre for Vocational Education and Training Development. Specialists of Centre presented the structure and features of VET sector in Armenia. The range of issues included the features of standard-developing procedures, mechanisms of social partnership and other questions.

On February 10-11 a round table discussion took place on amending the business plans for 2012-2014 of 12 regional multifunctional VET colleges and elaborating regional VET networks.

The first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the National Educational Foundation took place in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. The Trustees' Board staff, approved by RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, comprises representatives of business and public organizations: Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Union of Manufacturers and Employers, Confederation of Trade Unions, as well as representatives of interested state agencies. Through an open voting Head of the Staff of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia Mher Ghazaryan was elected President of the Board, and representative of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vahagn Hovhannisyan was elected Secretary by the members of the Board.
